Default backup lights

I dont have the reverse lights from F150leds. I had ordered some off of amazon and installed them and they are bright but because of the way the housing disperses the light there wasnt much change. So I ordered some led flood flood lights from amazon and installed them to the bottom of the rear bumper and more than solved the problem, again this was before I knew about f150leds. The one thing I can say is that they stand behind what they sell.

If I may I'd like to add to this thread since its a very specific dealer.

I ordered their interior kit, 3rd brake light, and tag lights. I think the leds do make a nice light, but i feel they are not as bright as a regular bulb. For me, I wrote Nick saying I was a bit disappointed in the packing of the bulbs because everything is all mixed up. I would be nice if each set was individually bagged and marked.

I had a lot of trouble with the reverse lights and subsequently broke the housings trying to remove them. I still don't know if the bulbs I have will fit them. I had to buy all new housings and they kind of expensive.

I also ordered the 21.5" inch light bar to install in the intake area, but never got around to installing it, ended up with going with another brand, so its just sitting in my extra room still in the box, never mounted or used.

You guys are getting RAPED paying those prices for LED retrofits.

Most of those LED's you bought for $40 a pair can be bought for a few bucks each. (See below)
I'm not kidding, and I'm not hating......I just dislike seeing people get taken advantage of.

The 5 SMD LED 194 T10 bulbs typically sell for $0.10 cents guys......
For the interior dome/map lights up front you can fit 9 SMD LED T10's in there for <$1 each
I have drawers filled with them in my garage over the course of 10+ years I've been doing these.

www.aliexpress.com

Example of the 3157 backup LED light replacements with even more LED for the reflectors.

First off creepindeth i respect your opinion and i agree Im not arguing the fact that you can find them cheaper elsewhere but my reason for buying from f150 leds is that if theres a problem or a bad bulb its extremely quick and easy to get it replaced at no cost to me because this guy really does care about standing behind his products and id rather have great customer service for just a little more rather than deal with some company from china or god knows where and the huge hassle some of them make with returns plus id rather support someone here in the good old US versus a foriegner ( no offense to anyone) but this is all just my opinion as you have your and im not here to fight were all reasonable men here im just giving my perspective

I completely agree Dylan. I buy from F150leds.com because he sells quality products and stands behind what he sells, and he is an honest guy just trying to run an honest business. Sure if I wanted to buy cheap Ide I would have bought from a big online retailer. And yes I believe in supporting American businesses too. If I have had an issue with aanything F150leds.com is quick to respond and send out a new replacement item no questions asked.

Okay Guys the Lights finally came in ! this will be the install and review of the LED license plate lights as well as the Dual Switch Rear Dome Lights.

The only tools you will need for this install is a flathead head screwdriver and needle nose pliers.

at the bottom of my install pics i will have a link to the video for you to compare my install to the video made by the owner of F150Leds

unpacking the lights lots of promo material included

License plate lights

Now in the video it is said to use a flathead screwdriver and work your way under the license plate light housing, which can work but i wouldn't advise since plastic does get brittle after being in the sun it can break easy in this case so in lieu of the flat head i advise going in from behind you bumper and squeezing the tabs together as shown below and pushing it out versus prying, this will take some muscle but its much safer and you don't run the risk of breaking your light housing like i accidentally did costing me a trip to the dealers parts counter and $15 later.

Next simply untwist the harness just like every other lightened then carefully wiggle out your old bulb, careful not to break it.

now insert your led and hit the unlock button on your remote to test the light, if the light doesn't work simply pull it out and turn it the other way and it should come on.

Now just twist the light back into the housing and push it back into your bumper and voiia your done !

heres the video provided by Nick Alexander

I will post before and after pictures in a few hours once it gets dark here
First impressions

So far my first impression is that these LED are worlds brighter than the halogen and with the cool white color it definitely adds the the appearance of the truck especially if you have other LEDs installed once again I'm please with the lights from Nick and will continue to choose F150LEDS for my lighting upgrades.Like i said in a few hours i will post before and after shots stay tuned!
