You honestly can't beat BDS... The warranty alone is great. They make an amazing product and the fox shocks will make it ride better than it does now.

Thats the one I was leaning towards honestly. So it'd be worth the few hundred extra, plus they have a powertrain warranty too so I wouldnt miss my factory one Tires and wheels should be here in a couple weeks so I have a little bit of time to save up again and purchase the lift

I think I'd go with the BDS too. When I was considering s 6", BDS was at the top of the list. I would skip the rough country unless you upgrade shocks bc my understanding is that the name fits the ride lol.

But to answer your question about why I chose the Rancho lift was for several reasons. Based on all the research I had done at the time, the options were Rancho, Rough Country, Fabtech, BDS, and Skyjacker. I liked the 1 piece subframe of the Rancho kit and the fact that it doesn't use strut spacers to achieve the lift. Also, the Rancho kit has the option of the RS9000 shocks with the firmness adjustability. Factor in the $400 rebate that I got when I bought mine, made the price less than $1400, which is unbeatable in my opinion. There was also another member that had used both the Rancho and Fabtech (the Fabtech was still pretty new at the time) and liked the Rancho better for the same reasons that made me buy it.

Regardless, pretty much any of the lifts will be fine depending on your use and budget.

Ok thanks UARandy3. My lift shop is still trying to push a 6 inch lift on me says no trimming at all vs mild trimming on 4 inch. I guess I've still got time and either will look outstanding I just haven't seen any recently in person and I know pictures dont do either justice. I've got the supercrew with a 6.5 foot bed

I had to do some very minor plastic trimming, but I believe trimming has a lot to do with your tire/wheel combo/offset too. I'm running 35.5" tires and have/had a small amount of rubbing on the front plastic valence that was easily trimmed. I still have a slight amount of rubbing at the rear of the front wheel wells that only happens under compression and hitting a big bump, so I haven't messed with it.

I personally prefer the 4" and 35s look, which was a major factor for choosing a 4". On a 6", I think 35s look a tad too small, so I would've gone to 37s with a 6" lift.
