I bought my truck with a 3" level in the front and stacked blocks in the rear. It LOOKS good, but the angles are horrible and wheel travel horrible/non-existent. Also running 295/70/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers on stock FX4 18s.

Anyway, I've been wanting to get a 4" lift to rid my truck of this level and fix the other issues. Rancho has their annual rebate deal going on so I'm pretty much set on getting their kit with the RS9000XL adjustable shocks.

Now, based on looking at lots of pictures of every 4" truck I could find, I decided I wanted to step up to a slightly taller tire. I considered Nitto or Toyo 35/12.50s, but don't like that they are actually 13.39" wide (I like taller, rather than wider on this size lift/tires). I think I've decided on the 295/65/20 Nitto Trail Grappler which comes in at 35.47" x 12.13" (.9" taller and .4" wider than what I have).

For wheels I want to get the black with machined Fuel Mavericks. These are one of my favorite wheels out right now and aren't played out like many of the other wheels I like. In the 20s, they come in +1, +14, and +20 offset. I only want them to stick out from the fenders maybe an inch, so I'm thinking the +20 would be the best bet.

The wheel/tire size comparer says the +20 will be .9" wider than what I have now, but also doesn't factor in the fact that these tires are .4" wider even though same 295 designation. The +14 offset would be 1.2" wider than what I have now not including the .4" width of the tire. What do yall think would be the best offset to meet what I've described?

Any help is appreciated!!!

Here's a pic of what the Fuel builder would look like with these wheels:

Also, here are 2 examples of the Rancho kit with 295/65/20s. The proportions of these taller tires seem to fill the wheel wells better than the 295/60/20 or 295/70/18 or even 35/12.50s. Thoughts?

I would personally go with the +14 offset. It will give it a bit wider stance which looks better with the 4" lift IMO.

Thanks for the input! I just went out and looked again at my 295/70/18s on stock wheels and they do not sit quite flush with the fender flare. Then I added 1.6" to see how far out the new, wider tire and +14mm wider offset would be, and I think you're right. I did some more looking at more pictures with +14 and +18 and +20. It's very difficult to tell any difference in pictures but look to be what I'm looking for. I think I'd rather it be slightly wider than not wide enough and look like it's on stilts lol.

Hopefully others will chime in too

Edit: Where did you get your Fuel wheels from? Trying to find the best online retailer as my tire guy can't get them reasonably.

Yeah that would be sweet if you can get a shot down the side to see how far out they stick out.

Unfortunately, I just did some calling and the black and machined Mavericks are backordered at least 90 days Pretty disappointed by this since I had this vision of what I wanted it to look like finished. Gonna call a few more online retailers tomorrow to check for them, but it isn't looking good.

Any other suggestions on similar wheels that aren't played out?

Now that I'm back to the drawing board, I'm not really sure yet what my budget is. Going to have to work some numbers again since I'm doing the lift, install, new tires, and wheels at one time.

Some wheels I like are obviously the Mavericks, XD Monsters, XD Hoss, Fuel Hostage and wheels like that. Mostly black with a little contrast. I have also always had a thing for BMF Novakanes but they're waaaaaay more pricey compared to what I was looking at. I just don't want the monsters, hoss, or hostage bc of how common they are. I see those wheels pretty much any time I'm out and about, which is what drew me to the Mavs (plus the price was great).
