I just bought some 3/8" one side sticky weather stripping at Lowes. Stuck it to the back side of the light where the original gasket should have been. Two years now and no leaks.

1/4 or 5/16". Don't remember the specifics as it was 2 years ago. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and grab something that looks right. I believe the original gasket was about 3/16" thick. It was all deformed and shrunk.
Takes two screws to remove the light, a few minutes to clean it, then a couple minutes to make and install the new gasket.
Not even enough time to suck up a six pack.

Job done took 30mn max, time for only one beer...It was easy to understand why one should expect it to leak at one point, the gasket was real flat with no softness in it.....$4.00 well invested

Are you guys just peeling off the old foam gasket, and installing the new rubber style from lowes or home depot?

Ya.. 2014 here too and same thing.. going to silicone it.. why bother with weather stripping?? If you remove it.. just re-apply the silicone. No biggy!

I used silicone on my 05 and cracked my light, peeling even ever so gently.
I'd give the weather stripping a shot first.
My 13 wasn't leaking, but around the edge let leaves and pine needles.
10 yrs and they couldn't get it right? Ford, please fire that design engineer!

Yea, peel the old one off, clean the light and then put the new one where the old one had been.
Mine has been on for two years now and still good.
