Default Incentive question(opinions)?!

So, I've been contacting dealers left and right. Not a lot of discounts on the 14's like they had on the 13's early last year. I've looked at FX4's,Lariats and XLT's. All crew cabs with the 5.0L and 4x4's. When does everyone think Ford will start giving more incentives to really move 2014 stock? Not having a trade in has been hurting me according to the dealers! Last two vehicle quotes I got were 43,500/Lariat and 44,250/FX4 out the door. Both Msrp'd for around 50k even.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Over 12K off a 2014 XLT here says you can do better than what you've been quoted.....a LOT better:

The XLT usually always has larger discounts than the Lariat or FX4. Incentives really aren't going to vary by dealer - those are manufacture based. OP needs to find a dealer that will sell for around invoice & then stack the mfg incentives on. Look on Edmunds for MSRP/Invoice prices (comparison) and target the invoice price (before discounts.) I looked at cars.com/autotrader to find inventories within a range that I was willing to drive to buy & ended up driving about 250 miles to get the truck I wanted (XLT.)

IMO, the incentives aren't going to get a whole lot better - in my region, the XLT incentives actually dropped in April (from March)....I don't think F has a huge surplus of 15s on the lots yet, and they have a contract up later this summer, with a potential work stoppage...

Thanks Davidkc01. I'm in Maryland. But am willing to drive or fly a good distance if the price is right for the vehicle. Funny that fairway ford was mentioned earlier. I was actually in discussions with them back in January on two loaded Xlt crew cabs they had. Both sold though when we were talking. They were the most honest and straight forward dealership I have talked and dealt with yet.

I heard demand is up on 2014s and they are having trouble moving the 15s. Any incentives will go to help the pull off the aluminum bodies and small motors that act like prius... I got my 14 last September, sticker was 52k, out the door was 44 with xplan...

Dealers want to get rid of the 14's in their lots, they will absolutely vary by dealer. Each dealer will offer different discounts to clear inventory

OP come buy in Canada, 10 hour drive back, your dollar crushes ours, tons of savings

I guess it depends on if your asking about fords incentives vs dealers

i bought a month month and a half ago or so..new 2014 xlt with 3.73 gear ratio 5.0 4x4 supercrew. 36400 out the door (all taxes fees etc), MSRP 43600 I believe, and there were still about 3k incentives I wasn't eligible for (or 2k something like that) including 1500 in trade. I felt like I got a decent deal assuming trucks with 100k miles they are still asking over 20k. And buying that month warranty upped to 100k instead of 60K.

Thanks for all the info. folks. The dealership I've been corresponding with has a few dealerships in the area. The one dealership has about 140 2014's on the lot. Two of the particular trucks have a build date of 01/20/14. I tried to get them to sell me one of them for about 10-11k off out the door. Salesman was about 5k off from that. Guess, they aren't really trying to move them.

Your sig says MD - this looks to be in your back yard. Not sure what features you're looking for, but they're advertising $11-12k off:
