The 100 & 200 series are both 2 way and both ford parts. When the truck starts it will beep the fob and a calming green led will give a couple of quick blinks at first then flash every 10 seconds or so while in remote run. I say the led is calming because you have that satisfaction of KNOWING your truck is running rather than praying it is lol.

Good Luck

Hope so lol. In the process of getting mine so can't say for sure. Since I already have factory remote start I'm hoping I can just unplug the old and plug in the new with the exception of the antenna and hope it works so I can keep ford out of it lol. I'm sure someone on here knows if this is the case but I'll post once I've done it.

Yep, the 2 way or bi-directionals (same thing) are plug and play. See my post on page 2 of this thread for my installation results. I got the 100 series and the only way this could have been easier is if someone else plugged it in for you. lol Now remember this is only for the 2011+ anything earlier needs the splice and dice type which are better to have profesionally installed

Dallas since you already had the base unit installed from the factory you will not need to visit the dealer since the vehicle has already been activated. Go to your info screen and scroll to settings then vehicle then you should see remote start in that menus options. Highlight this and push ok. You should now see options for how long you want it to run, climate controls for last setting or auto. Defrost options for both front and rear ect. Now anyone else that does not already have the base unit installed of course will need to go to dealer to get activated.

Caperj posted the directions for the dealer to activate and Matt17 posted pictures of his instalation on this thread which tells you everything you need.

For the windshield antenna you can just pull the headliner down a little bit to insert antenna wire in behind it. I removed the pillar trim and handle on passenger side (just need a 7mm nut driver) and ran the wire down through there to get behind dash. Mounted the long antenna bar right above the glove box where there is conveniently a bracket for this. The square brain for the system was mounted directly behind glove box on the heater housing. This comes with dual lock tape (heavy duty velcro) already attached. Just remove the backing to expose the sticky and slap it on there with the plugs facing to the right. Plug the wires in where they belong (look at pictures mentioned) then just put the pillar trim and dash side cover back on and you are done.

Again, if your remote start was factory installed you should not need to do anything else. If not you have to go to dealer to activate. Take the instructions that caperj provided and give to them. A good service tech will not have any issues doing this especially with the instructions provided by you. Should take them literally 5 minutes.

You can do it! It's a no brainer

Got it installed today super easy didnt have to use the "antenna bar" as my truck already had factory remote start so it was already there. Just unplugged the harness from the TPMS mod and plugged in the Y harness, ran out the antenna and plugged it all into the starter mod and done! Both the factory starter on the key, and the new 2 way work, thought id have to uninstall the factory one but nope, both work 100%. Thanks for all the help. Pictures at the beginning of this thread were also very helpful thanks.

Good Deal Dallas.....Definately a cool package and no warranty issues since it's a factory setup. Although I have never experienced it, I have heard of others with aftermarket systems having some wiring problems. The dealer says it's the installers fault that something isn't working and the installers say it has nothing to do with the remote start unit.

Now you just need to work on the climate issues
