Default Weaker Speaker

Plain and simple, subs with built in tweeters or component set. Not ready to invest hundreds but I want the best sound for the money.

but you also have to find a place to mount the tweeter. I mounted mine in the door, but that required drilling a hole in the door... .which a lot of people don't want to do.

You can also get the replacement a-pillars that have tweeter mounts in them (for the high-end system)... but that becomes fun to wire up because you have the molex plugs blocking your way from the door up to the pillar, so you have to get creative with the location of your crossovers.

Two-Ways are really the easiest direct replacement for the speakers to separate your highs and midrange without doing a lot of work.

Here is where I mounted my tweeters:

Thanx, Hobbes80. You did a nice job there. Fortunatley for me, my 04 scab has a place for tweeters behind the front portion of the door panel. Back doors however are another story.
