Why does the top look like it is plywood?

I'm a bit of a sound freak, hell I shoved 4 amps on the back wall with the window motor too. I didn't want to sacrefice the backseat since my friends use it almost daily. For my substage I used the Stereo Integrity BM 12s. They require only .5 cubes each and are 3.5" deep, play flat to 20Hz sealed. I built my own box to fit, excellent performance and the backseat is factory. People area blown away by the sound from 2 high quality slim 12s.

Goodluck with your project.

I wonder what a rear firing similar set up would hit like? In my experience rear fire do pretty well on the SPL meter and sound loud as hell outside. I think a single rear fire in a large ported box would be obscene! Hope this works out well for you.
