Well just got back from the shop were im getting my JL stealthbox 13tw5 and JL HD 750.1 from. They were asking about if i was gonna replace my factory door speakers... i said eventualy yes. They recommended Morel Tempo coax 5X7'' then told me: if your gonna change your factory speakers first get the head unit swapped. i then told them i want to but money is tight. they asked me are you looking for a nav system? i said yes they showed me the best. so head unit the quoted me goes for 70$ cad and the nav i believe was the kenwood excellon which they quotted aprox 3000$ anyways i havent seen the dealer nav system they installl on the f150... but if this nav system they quotted me is the best... why not get it installed rather than the dealer nav system for 3000-3500$...

i wont be getting this upgrade for a long time but deffinatly getting a nav system with the aftermarket head unit. ill be going back to this shop today and will post the exact model for the head unit and nav system.

I've spoken about this at length with the tech advisors from Crutchfield and they say they have people doing this all the time. I have the single din in my 2010 lariat. I've already replaced the four door speakers (Polk mobile monitors) and added an amp. Haven't purchased anything to upgrade to a double din yet but here's my plan...get a matching double din wood grain dash kit from metra, add kenwood excelon HU, add tweeters in front door vent panels. I'll let you guys know when I've purchased and am ready to install.
