Need an amp for my Focals.

Got a plan. I already have the power/ground dist blocks in place and have the room, so, I am just going to add another Alpine 50x4. When both are bridged this will give me 150x4 and should make the Focals purr.

Sounds like it could work... but class D's(MRP 500's) bridged aren't going to have the best SQ. The S/N ratio will be anything but ideal. However, I assume its a quicker (cheaper) alternative to replacing your existing one.
I am not sure where you are buying the new M500, but the price difference for a more powerful class AB is not that great. I think you would have better performance from a 70-100 watt 4-channel AB amp. I would think this would give you quite a bit more clarity and the "punch" you are looking for.

Also this gives me a way to bi-amp my components if I ever feel frisky!
