Default just bought some toys!

besides a head unit, this is the first time I've bought anything audio related..and I have no Idea how to install or wire any of this...but I guess it's time to put up or shut up

the speakers look pretty plug and play until the amp comes in, am I right? amp wiring kit will be here tomorrow..and I think I'm supposed to buy some speaker wire?

It is all fairly easy to install what amp install company did you go with? And I can give you step by step instructions if you want.

Should turn out well, are you just powering the front speakers, or are you wiring each side (front and back) in parallel?

Well I got four of the infinity speakers, and the amp is a 2 channel so i think I'm just gonna power the rears for more bassyness in the back. unless you think other wise

Definitely wouldn't just power the rears.

I would power the fronts with the amp and the rears from the head unit to give you a more forward front stage (you want your truck to sound like a concert, where the sound comes from the stage in front of you).

The other option is to run both left on one channel and both right on the other. You will lose your ability to fade, but you will be able to squeeze all the power out of your amp.

I would use the amp to power all doing front and rear right and front and rear left on its own channel that way your rear passengers don't notice the really uneven sound

Try it both ways and see what you prefer. There's not much difference in the wiring.

amp wiring on these trucks for a simple install can be fairly straight foward. On my 04 scab I ran 8ga power wire & remote line down passenger side and rca cables on the other side for the amp. I wired my doors up in parellel on my amp also.( two lefts as one set and two rights as one set). Like stated i lost fade function. But this was hardly a big difference. Wiring is fairly straight foward. PM me and i'll give you step by step instructions on what to do.
