Default JL microsub in a scab

So, I really didn't want to loose any space under the seats because not much room in the super cab.
Jl makes a 500 watt stealth box made just for a scab... retail 799.00 looking at the picture, I thought it stuck out to far into the footwell, plus I didn't wanna loose the space... picture is from JL website

I had the factory sony sub under the passenger seat and found a 150 wt micro sub that fit perfect in place the sony sub.. retail I think was 220.00
CP106LG-W3v3: Single 6W3v3 MicroSub, Ported, 4 Ω 150 wt. ---Website picture

My installer said it was ok, and I told him to install it. He knew me better and figured I would be back. I picked it up this morning and it has very little bass. It was ok... but in comparison, it was only a small bump over the sony sub. I had it less than 2 hours.. went back and my installer was gone but everyone there knew for some reason I would be back- LOL
They left enough wire from the amp to hook up the sub they knew I would end up with witch is a CP208LG-W3v3: Dual 8W3v3 MicroSub, Ported, 2 Ω 500 wt. - retail is 499.00

Although I did not want to loose floor space, I would have regretted my choice every time I turned on the tunes. This one fit tighter under the seat than the stealth box. The dual 8" is perfect! 300 bucks cheaper than the stealth box. this box will not make your ears bleed ...but driving on the highway, sunroof and all windows open.. its awesome! My kid even said his is better, but this sounded pretty good!
#had to modify the seat support slightly for it to fit... not to much to worry about anything. Also the jack fits under the passenger seat- heres some cell phone picts

That's a GREAT box!
I had the single 8" in my last truck and I was completely impressed with the volume it put out. Two of them should be just right. Nice choice!

EDIT...
After looking at it again...flip the box around so that the ports aren't firing into the seat support. I also downfired mine with a small foot screwed to the front of the box...it really helped load up the 8" when it was pounding. Just something to think about.

Awesome...glad that worked!
JL does go through some pretty decent research to tune their boxes and subs, so letting those ports breathe is a good thing.

How did you hook up the amp to the factory MyFordTouch head unit?

I went with audison bit ten
There are others..a lot of guys use clean sweep. .it uses the speaker inputs and converts them...can be tuned any way you want.
Note..If u have the Sony system and only want a better sub, you can get a much cheaper loc and tap the sub output

I have the '13-'14 MyFordTouch 8" head unit, non sony, no factory sub. Where I can I find the clean sweep you are talking about?
