You are a piece of work. This discussion is about getting an iPhone to work with SYNC not a lecture about driving habits. If you want to preach do it on Sunday. Also when a phone is used for business knowing when you get emails is critical. All I am asking is why my phone doesn't ding when I get an email?
So, you are wanting to check emails and texts while at the wheel, instead of paying attention to what is happening around you, all the while endangering the lives of everyone on the road with you, and I'M the piece of work? Sound logic bud.

I do use my phone for business, every day, but business does not trump the safety of yourself or others.

Mine will tell me new message is there while I'm rolling and then I just hit the phone button and say read message and it does,(she has a funny accent) but no email alerts, I don't think that's even possible with sync. Sync comes with a set of generic preloaded replies like be there in 10 mins and on my way, etc for the message reply.

I do get a text alert on SYNC but only when I am plugged into the usb. Not thru bluetooth.
I agree that emails alerts can not be seen on the SYNC screen.
