Our version of the kit will have two trim pieces so that it will accommodate both a standard 2DIN radio, as well as the Alpine X008U. The Alpine kit will incorporate the radio buttons into the kit somehow and will likely not have room for a pocket. We have not seen their design yet, so this is all speculation. it also includes the T-harness you need so you just add Maestro RR, radio, and antenna adaptor (new type for these trucks).

We were not able to adapt our part to both a 7 inch 2 DIN and the 8 inch Alpine so we will be launching with only support for the 7 inch 2 DIN radios. Sorry about that!

That's a little bit of a bummer but not a huge deal. There are still a lot of nice 7 inch units out there. I'm still planning on buying one as long as it all works correctly. One good thing is I won't have to dish out $2500-3000 for the larger units. I can use that extra cash for better speakers and amps
