Self tapping screws make it so easy. And if your amp is really thick you may have to mount it directly to the rear wall instead of using mdf.

yea 1/2" mdf is a good solid mount.

Polyethylene Sheets are also recommended as they will not absorb any moisture, and they come in different thicknesses and sizes.

also valid, but if you are mounting inside the cab. no need to worry about moisture. IMHO. but the polyethylene would work just as well too.

Hell i made my speaker adapters out of cutting board material.

So I've been following your build here and was wondering how you fit the door panels back on with the way you have the speaker mounted. I just got my components and a sheet of MDF and will be tackling this on Sat. Did you have to cut them? Pics would really help, thanks.
