Default Full Audio Install | 04 FX4 Screw

Today I begin my audio overhaul. I'm at work right now, but will fill this thread with videos/pictures as soon as I get home and start my project. I hope to sound deaden the front doors today.

MAKE SURE you spray the MDF baffles liberally with waterproofing material. Something like Thompson's. Otherwise it will crack and mold after a couple years in the doors being exposed to moisture. Otherwise, looks like you have a great plan!

You also may want to consider running the 0awg wire under the truck in some sort of electrical conduit protection. This made it easier for me since you dont have to fight that massive wire through a grommet, and you have more room in the door sills for RCAs and speaker cable.

Today I installed both rear speakers and ran all of the rca's and remote wire. I have two sets of 20' speaker wire and that is nowhere near enough. Fail. 10' on each back speaker looks like it might be too short too. Could I solder speaker wire together to make it longer or is that a dont do? I'm getting ready to make a trip tonight to pick up my modeling clay, mdf, Masonite, and screws. Here's the only picture I took today! It started raining so I didn't have tine for pics.

And also I'm having trouble running the speaker wire from the rear door down the pillar. Does the plastic come off? I can't figure it out.
