I would say check this sub out
http://kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainm...rs/KFC-XW1000F
not too pricey..I think the average is $100-115 online. Keep in mind these shallow subs have a break in period of about 24 hours worth of playing time. After that is when you get how they are supposed to sound. That is the sub my cousin has in his supercrew under the back seat in a ported box with a P2002 amp under the front passenger seat. About a month ago it started to really thump when he cranked it (he has the bass setting at 1 on his stereo) So, i think you would be happy with that sub. Hope that helps...It has plenty of thump when he wants it to, but is able to turn it down to have nice sounding stereo for all songs.

i put a box on the passenger side seat where only one seat folds up and made a custom box to fit between the bars and just took out the jack

alpine subs arnt bad and neither are jl, but then you take into consideration there price and quality, then you look at a brand like dc sound lab's level 2 and its perfect! www.dcsoundlab.com much better choice than jl or alpine
