It was also out of.my range but im keeping the truck for 6+ years so I just waited a bit and got the stealth box. Its fiberglass and is ported. If you can wait and save the extra cash then deff get it. But if your selling the truck within a few years then don't get it. Ebay has custom boxes for out trucks also.

Something to consider. . . . I just ordered the Infinity Kappa series for my truck. Components up front, coax in back but they are both 5x7 so full speaker for the srace and no adaptor plates!!!

Boy it's refreshing to hear a positive review. This "update" has been a headache from someone who didn't know what they were doing!!!! But maybe it's close to getting a happy ending!!! Now I just gotta decide on a sub!!!

These are where mine are mounted. The company I had install them said this is the best spot for the tweeters to mount up.

I heard that the tweeters don't sound as good the farther away they are from speaker. But I don't think the foot diff in distance would make a diff. Idk a ton about stereo work that's why I had it all professionally installed but thats what they were telling me.

I sure don't know much either. That's where my installer recommended and I like that placement so we will see. I pulled the trigger on the MTX Thunderform 10" today. Got a price match from Sonic Electronix and got it for $259!!!!!! That should be everything so may actually get it installed in the next couple weeks!!! YAH!!!!!!

That's sweet. Hope your install goes smoothly. Let me know how the mtx hits and sounds when you install it.

While I'm not wild about the MTX, I feel it will fill my needs. Also, worst case, I bought it for the box and can replace the sub if need be. I know it's a distant second to the JL Stealthbox, it looks EXTREMELY nice IMO. Can't wait to hear it!!!
