Ball park price for a system?
ID like to do a box under the back bench with a few subs.. My question is how much would a ballpark proce be for door speakers subs and amp whatever else I need? I want it to be clear so I'm going with all JL audio stuff unles y'all think another brand like kicker would do the job?

OK, I'll bite: More than $800, but less than $1500.
Just go over to a website like crutchfield.com or similar, pull up the parts you want to use, throw them in the cart and it'll give you a total amount.
You'll need a head unit, two or more amps, two subs, two sets of speakers and wiring. Plus sound deadening if you want to do that too, but it's optional.

I think you'd be more satisfied with JL then with Kicker. IMO, Kicker is more about the name, not as much product. JL always seems to deliver, as much as I've dealt with them.

Crutchfield is a great website and offers great information, but they are expensive. Mind you, when you buy from crutchfield you are also paying for their service, but I would encourage you to do some looking around for the best price you can get. I use crutchfield as reference and then go find the components at other places for a whole lot cheaper. Thumbs up for JL as well. They make some killer products, however you may wanna check out Hertz. They are miles ahead of most other big name brands in terms of sound quality.

To give you some insight, please learn from my experience. I've ordered and returned three sets of speakers in the last week alone. I already bought a JL Audio XD700/5 amp. TOtal price from local shop using mid pioneer speakers (tweets in A pillar, 5x7's in four doors, box under rear seat with one 10" sub and all install was $950, using my amp. I may just bite the bullet and go this route as I'm such a novice and been going back and forth for 6 months about a system rebuild. He's assured me it'll sound like i want and even offered a money back guarantee!!!!

I don't even know where to start lol I'm a engine guy not electronics.. Would I need one 10" sub? Or 2 idk I'm getting door speakers ..6x8? And I wanna hook it up to te stock head unit

For me personally, one 10 will be MORE than enough. Depends on your personal taste. As far as hooking up to factory HU, there is a PAC adaptor for that. 5x7 or 6x8 in the doors will work without any adaptors.

If you want ease of install go with 5x7 or 6x8 door speakers. Straight swap. If you want better sound (more work with installation) go with components in the front door. You can tap the speakers wires for input to the amp or install the PAC AOEM FRD24 for easy plug n play install. I have one 10" sub but like in previous post, that is up to personal taste. I think I have around $600-$700 in my system and using the factory HU.

I have a jl stealth box in my scab and I love it. I also have jl 700/5 amp and it's great. I spent almost 3gs for.my system. Jl box and 10w3 sub, jl 700/5, infinity kappas front door speakers with separate tweeters and crossovers, alpine rear fill speakers with built in tweeters, kenwood ddx418 double din head unit, and wires and rca cables + professional install came out to a bit over $2900. Everyone who hears my system said that they have never heard a clearer system. Great bass. And no distortion. I can put a cd on my dash and it moves all over when I turn up the bass.
