*The specified vehicles have been tested and have met compatibility specs at the time of testing. Compatibility is not guaranteed if the manufacturer has made production changes to the listed vehicles above. Not compatible with 4.2" LCD screen (My Ford) or 8" LCD touch screen (My Ford Touch) equipped vehicles.

why would we want this unit?
It depends on the vehicle you have and what the dash is like but most of the Ford trim levels are covered between the two. I'm guessing if someone dished out the thousands of dollars for the 8" screen they probably aren't going to spend thousands more to just replace it right away. That particular vehicle uses a data system that's specific to that one head unit so there's not a lot of replacement options right now for that 8" setup.

I'm not sure why Ford chose to do this since it would seem like it would be easier and cheaper to use the same data for all their vehicles rather than re-developing it for every system. Between the two head units they cover the vast majority of the F-150's. It's the radio upgrade you can make to that vehicle. If you haven't seen the 9" screen in person stop into a local shop and take a look at it. They look great in that dash.
Are you off 190th?

If anybody has one of these, can you post up some pics. I am considering a purchase and would like to hear some feedback from someone who has this unit.

as far as the Alpine i'm not sure it does enough for me. i love the kit along with the 9" screen but am not a fan of Pandora. no Android Auto no wifi no Preloaded apps and so forth-. although my research continus and iv'e not checked out anu units yet in person.

Can you post some pics of it installed? Where did you get that price installed? Did you have to by any trim pieces or additional harnesses?
