2014 STX Audio Build

Load and Charge
Well, back the drawing board for me too I guess. I won't spend that kind of money on a product that the company doesn't stand behind. It's a shame they care so little about their reputation because it seems like if they did, they'd be a great solution to problem that revolves around one of the most popular vehicles on the road.

Thanks for the update--glad I saw this before I ordered this enclosuse--I ended up ordering the MTX enclosure instead... A bit pricey, but hopefully the build quality will be better...

Those are factory screws and factory screw holes. They are used to hold the metal silver screen over your stock tweeter (you will see when you pull it apart).
Just a thin piece of plastic. It could bend easily and "formed" around the backside of the tweeter, but was strong enough to hold some tension to it.

Whunt- the A-pillar drivers side cover is held on by a series of snap clips. A slight pull on the top-most edge will pop the clips and work your way down. The actually "gray-ish" mesh tweeter cover is removed with a couple screws from the backside of the A-pillar.
On the passenger side you have to remove the bolts for the handle then proceed as above.
It is very easy once you take a look at everything- good luck.
UPDATE ON THE BUILD:
I am thoroughly impressed with the sound this system is producing. The stock deck produces a good signal- but as any car audio person know it all depends on the source.
I see the best music via CD, MP3 or Bluetooth. The worst music comes through the radio unfortunately.
The whole build was well worth the $ and the Fox Box is growing one even more as the sub is starting to break in. The thing is LOUD and the speakers are crystal clear.
I have no problems with clipping and have run the setup pushing high wattage for hours on end.
Once again, very impressed with Alpine and everything is holding up great.

Thanks MikeyZ- I replaced the OEM speakers today with some Infinity's I bought from Crutchfield. I ended up keeping the stock tweeters in the pillar. The other front & rear speakers I bought were 2-way and the Crutchfield rep advised I wouldn't need to change the tweeters in the pillar.

Guys/ Gals,
I am looking to build an audio system in my 14 STX. This is what it is going to look like:
Front Components:
Alpine SPR-60C
Rears:
Alpine SPR-68
Amp:
Alpine PDX-V9
5 Channel 100wRMS per speaker
500w RMS for Sub
Sub:
Alpine SWS-10D2
Head Unit:
STOCK
I am going to mount the amp underneath the front passenger seat in my Supercrew.
My biggest question:
I have the PAC adapter that fits the truck...Does this work with a 5 channel amp?
If not, What do I have to do to run the 5 channel amp on the stock head unit?
Thanks

I have been stuck on this for a long time. I want to keep my stock unit but add a sub and mono block amp and run my traditional aftermarket sound that i have installed in my other vehicles. I cannot find a single way to do this. The PAC audio device that they have listed on their website that works with the 2014's is used only to replace the factory radio not to add an amp.

Can you give me the exact model number for your PAC audio device please?
