2014 STX Audio Build
Guys/ Gals,
I am looking to build an audio system in my 14 STX. This is what it is going to look like:
Front Components:
Alpine SPR-60C
Rears:
Alpine SPR-68
Amp:
Alpine PDX-V9
5 Channel 100wRMS per speaker
500w RMS for Sub
Sub:
Alpine SWS-10D2
Head Unit:
STOCK
I am going to mount the amp underneath the front passenger seat in my Supercrew.
My biggest question:
I have the PAC adapter that fits the truck...Does this work with a 5 channel amp?
If not, What do I have to do to run the 5 channel amp on the stock head unit?
Thanks

Did some more research and looks like the Alpine Amp has the technology to run just 2 sets of RCAs but control it as 5 channels
Edit:
Got the SPR-60c Tweeters Installed in the stock A-pillars. They are bigger and I had to rendition a "backing" pice for them. As you can see I used a pice of plastic from a tray and cut it to shape to fit the factory screw holes. This puts enough tension on the rear of the tweeter to hold it in place. Any questions just ask. I think it looks great.

Tweeters look great, are they plug and play minus the little plastic piece you shaped? I've never really done much audio stuff minus the speakers and head unit on my old truck, but this is the first time I've had tweeters that I know of. Just want to know if/when they blow if I can easily replace them haha.

I wouldn't say plug and play because they have seperate crossovers that split the "music" signal from the mid woofer to the tweeter.
It is relatively simple to understand once you do a little research on Crutchfield or such.
If you ever need help- let me know- I'm in MA as well- right around Lowell area.

Interesting
Mikey, I also have a 2014 STX SuperCrew and looking to upgrade the audio system. I like your idea for the upgrades..... Let me know how that sounds with the stock head unit.

Just ordered the Alpine amp along with the external **** and all the wiring.
Also, ordered small amount if FatMat to do the area around the speakers.
Can't wait to get everything installed and I will keep everyone posted.
