Rookie | F-150 Tire and Wheel advice
Hey ya'll, just picked up a 2015 F-150 XLT and like the other newbies, I need help and advice with tires and wheels.
First off, the truck came with Hankook Dynapro HTs at 265/60R18 110T.
What I am wanting to do is get a new set of tires that do not seem to cut so bad on turns, for general commute use. (If that even makes sense: example reason I say this is because I feel like the body of the truck will tip over on sharper turns ). In addition, I definitely want a rugged look, with a thicker tire without sacrificing the trucks performance. I do not want to run through any lifting.
My questions are:
1) Do I need to go wider on tire base for what I am looking for?
2) How does going wider and thicker on my truck affect performance?
3) What is the biggest tire size that makes sense for my truck without a lift (again, for commute, no off-road)
Thanks for any of the help!
