Default Bought an '08 F150 yesterday

I just bought an '08 F150 60th Anniversary Edition yesterday. I opted for the 4.6 as oposed to the 5.4 liter. I hear the 4.6 is a strong engine and I only use my truck for towing purposes once or twice a year. I'm very big into car audio competition and fabrication so you guys can expect a pretty lengthy audio/video install in this new truck. I'm a member of Zapco's competition team and have been doing very well competing with my custom '05 Dodge Magnum. Here is a link to my Magnum's car domain site: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2338948
I probably won't go to that level with the F150's install only because it will be my daily driver. But I do plan on a great sounding, competition level system in it. I'll start a thread when I get to the design and install phase.

Thanks! I have been known to get a little carried away when it comes to building a sound quality install. I basically do whatever it takes to make the music sound as life-like as possible. One cool plan I have in the new truck is to fabricate a custom center console with two Image Dynamics 8" subs hidden in it. I will try to make it look like it belongs there by molding in the top sections of the existing counsole like the arm rest and cup holder onto the new sub enclosure.

Oh, sounds really nice and clean. I can tell that you're not gonna be looking to break any DB records or anything. I personally like the nice sounding systems that don't make your ears bleed all the time. What kind of power you gonna be pushin' the 8s with?

All my amps will be Zapco DC Reference. If I can fit two DC1000.4's (4 x 150 at 4ohm) I'll go that route. Channels 1/2 will power the tweets, 3/4 to 4" mids. On the second amp...channels 1/2 to 6" midbass, 3/4 will run at 2ohm stereo (250 watts per channel) to the 8" subs. The 6's, 4's and tweets will all be Zapco Competition. You can check out the Zapco stuff at www.zapco.com. You can check out other "Team Z" members cars there also. If I don't have room for the two large 4 channel amps I'll use one 1000.4 and one 500.1 and use a small 2-channel for the tweets and just hide it somewhere.
