I hope to buy Collinite 845 this weekend. I think I saw it at a local store. my fiancé will be happy as I've been promising her a wax on her car for the last year.

Thought I'd throw much 2 cents in on this topic. I use Blackfire Wet Diamond on my 2013. You van follow up with a coat of Midnight Sun but I found no need for it. Very easy to use and a little goes a long way.

For Bright and Shiny, very good durability and longevity...
Coli 845 and Zaino Z-2 are two very good classic choices.

With BOTH products it is MUCH better to do multiple THIN coats.
Some folks have done over TEN thin coats for maximum protection.

I like them both on light colored paint. For dark colors I prefer depth and warmth.

Yes, I use it often, It fills (and they stay filled) unlike a glaze.
It has a warmer "look" (less saran-wrap shiny) similar to a carnauba.

If it were me I'd purchase a Nanoskin Autoscrub Speedy Prep Sponge – FINE Grade.
You can use it with GLIDE, a clay lube, ONR or even Megs Quick Detailer (red bottle).
Keep the paint surface and the sponge constantly WET!

Oh yeah, I agree about the Nanoskin products. I just bought a Speed Sponge in Fine and used Glide on it. Use this and you'll never go back to clay. It's so much faster and easier.

Guys...learn me a bit on the ways of Nanoskin towels and sponges. This looks pretty awesome. Do you just wash it off during use...as opposed to folding/kneading the clay bar?? The process looks much easier and quicker.

Pretty much that's it. It's very easy. I hit it with Glide and wipe it off with a different MF towel between sections. I haven't tried the towel yet.

BEFORE USE Be sure to use it on your windows to remove the surface coating.
This windows scuffing breaks it in and it removes the top "shelf surface" layer.

Rinse to clean. Do not use soap/soapy water to clean the polymerized rubber.
I use an ONR mixture with the Nanoskin FINE towel. This combo works for me.

When it's dry the rubber surface will stick to about anything. Store rubber up.
Unlike clay, if it falls on the ground, thoroughly rinse it and continue to use it.

You'll get approx. 15-20 uses out of a sponge and 50-60 uses out of a towel.
Use it back & forth & up and down. Don't do Mr. Miyagi circles with the rubber.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but I can’t be bothered to read the multiple pages in this thread.

Can the Collinite 845 be applied over 3M protection film?

I've had Collinite 845 on everything on the truck and no adverse affects anywhere.
It's purpose is for exterior surfaces. It contains no abrasives or cleaners and is clear coat safe.

Can I wash my kids in it?
