Default Vinyl & Rubber Protectant

Any recommendations on a Vinyl/Rubber Protectant that works well on exterior surfaces. I just tried 3 different Meguiar's products and all look good going on. But when water hits it it leaves spots, and looks terrible. There must be something that works.

Aerospace 303 I think it's called. Never used it but heard great things about it. However when water hits that stuff I think every product out there will spot / run. I like to stick to water based products because if they do run its a lot easier to clean them up

Which Meguiar's are you using? What trim you using it on?

I love all the Meguiar's products but most you should wipe off excess after applying. That may be the issue...

However, I like Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus.

I like and use Meguiar's products to.

Want something to put on the black plastic mirrors, Vinyl pads on the truck bed, rubber moldings around windows and doors.

Tried Meguiar's Natural Shine, Professional Vinyl & Rubber conditioner #40., and Ultimate Black.

I had good results with Ultimate Black.

Have you tried D170? Good water based product for about everything. And best yet is you can dilute to the amount of shine you prefer.

Meguiar's D17001 Hyper Dressing - 1 Gallon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006SH4PA..._EhTyxb1CC3JQF

I actually don't like Meg's Natural Shine. I have a bottle of in my supplies wasting away for almost a year or two now. Didn't like the smell and it felt greasy from what I remember...

I prefer Poorboys World Natural Dressing. Smells good and seems to leave an actual matte finish behind and no greasy feeling and smells great.

Good reports on D170 on Amazon. Will give it a try.

Ultimate Black was actually the best of the 3 I tried. We just had rain and it had the least water spots.

Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. It's expensive but a little bit goes a LOOOONG way.
