Ammonia and almost every other product is not good for tinted windows. A wet cloth, water only is best/safest for tinted windows.

The Griot's microfiber towels are the best I've found from drying, polishing and window cleaning.

Newspaper used to be the best 20 years ago. They changed the ink or something years ago on Chicago papers and it never worked the same.
Spay way was the best and still a great cleaner made in Addison, IL one town over from where I grew up, well got I older at least.
