Meguiar's X2000 water magnet. Get two and you can do the whole truck with only a few wring-outs.
A puff of air like Perry mentioned works well in the "trouble spots" that always pee down one of your door panels after you're done.

I have always used old worn out soft cotton bath towels and/or shammy , but microfiber towels are the most popular drying cloth now because they will not scratch the paint as easily as towels or shammies.

here is an article on using De-Ionized water for your washing and rinsing, which can basicly eliminate the need to dry your truck with any type of towel. There are also hyper links in this posting to previous articles on the subject also.

If you must/need to dry DONT use a beach, batch or other cloth towel to dry…..it will inflict fine scratches into the paint clear…..even poor quality microfiber can.
If you really care about proper washing and drying of your trucks finish there are methods and techniques that GREATLY reduce the chance of getting fine marring (scratches) in the clear coat.
Cheers,
GREG

Since the Mr. Clean carwash system has been discontinued (and it was awesome), I changed to the new Barrett and Jackson car wash. Pretty much sheets the water off with little or no drying at all. I bought it at Walmart on a whim and am glad I did. It may not be perfect, but it sure eliminates most of the drying.
I have a 2010 Royal Red, which really shows the spotting if it is there. I have used this several times now.....and feel it is worth it.

I think microfiber towels are now the preferred type for drying. I used soft cotton towels for years but I have switched to microfiber for drying/waxing. I have bought some from Griots Garage but they are pricey.
I did find some large, 4.5 sq ft, microfiber towels at Wally World. There are two types from $5.97 to about $9 for the thicker ones made by Calderon Textiles.
