I was skeptical about it being the tires but it turned out to be just that. BTW on my truck I have the Perelli scorpion's. That was originally on my truck, and the same we're used to replace them. After reading others posts about them I was hoping for a different brand but these others seem fine to me.

I don't know if anyone is paying attention to this anymore but my vibration issue is back. Still..its not like it was and more noticeable on the freeway. Thinking balance issue but if your interested Ill post results. I got to say the dealership here is awesome. The GM wants to come pick up my truck and drop off his Navigator for me to use. That is great customer service. I like that but just want the truck to be Vibration free.

I just bought a 2014 FX4 short bed, on 20's with the Scorpian tires and it has a vibration. Have almost 500 miles on it, book says to let it get 300 miles before taking it in. I haven't gone to the dealer yet, but will in the next day or two. Feels like the vibration is coming from the rear end, front seems fine.

Default rear end shake

I have the same shaking only on de-celeration.

Rotors have been replaced. Calipers replaced. Pads replaced. 4 tire balanced and also re-checked. Alignment done.

Dealer (tech and Service Manager) told me its due to the drive shaft being out of balance. BUT. If I fix it. It will still be there as its a 2wheel drive and I carry approx 300lbs of tools in it every day. Its not meant to carry a lot of weight. (I have this in emails.)

After I picked myself up off the floor from their reply.

I told them its a truck and just like all my other trucks I tend to carry things in the back. Bottom line I got no where with the dealer or head office of Ford Canada. Where to go from here ???

Back to the shop this morning. My guess is they will get it fixed. It really just feels like a balance issue. The tires and rims they put on my truck last week still feel better than the originals, and so I'm hoping they get it. I have searched other forums for this issue we all seem to share and it seems to be quite common. It took one guy almost a year but it came down to tires. After a factory rep got involved, he ordered a whole new set and road force balanced to 15lbs and that fixed it for him. I'm not technical on vehicles but I watched a video on those machines they use. They tell a lot about tire being balanced so I think someone who is sharp and interested in doing it right can figure out how to balance a tire perfectly or know if it can't be done, and get a better tire put on. From my searching, I found out the number can go up to high 20's before it's outside the acceptable tolerance for feeling vibration.

I think I'm done with this vibration thing. I think it's going to exist on this model no matter what. It gets better on smooth roads, but I still feel it then too, just not as much. I also think vibration is relative to each person. What I feel as vibration, someone else doesn't feel it at all. There is a tire shop in town that I have done a lot of business with, and that I trust. I may go there to see if they think this is something they feel could be fixed, or it's just me. It just seems that on a newly paved stretch of highway, it would feel smooth like a car. I'm new to big trucks like this so I don't know, I may be embarrassing myself here and at the dealership.

Just a thought here- Ask the stealership to swap out the drive shaft assembly from another truck. If you have a two-piece shaft, the lube on the slider is a very big deal. Secondly, you might have gotten a drive shaft that wasn't welded together perfectly. It happens.

Hey, sorry for just jumping in on here, first post and all, but I have what sounds like the same issue as Amccone. My 2014 150 4x4 super crew is barely a week old. Less than 500 miles! I didn't test drive on the interstate (I wish I had now) and I spent half the day at the dealer yesterday getting tires balanced ect. No luck. I actually think it made it a little worse. I hope the service dept can figure this out soon. Not a good feeling with a Brand New truck.

Amccone- I don't think it is you. I just traded an 06 lariat 4x4 super crew that did not do this. I've never seen a drink vibrate until it bubbles up out of the cup, just from driving down the road. The passenger seat looks like a massage chair, it is bouncing so much.

Ill post my findings as well.

thanks

Thanks for the suggestion but I've ruled that out since finding certain sections of the freeway where the ride is pretty darn smooth...like a mile here and there. My drive shaft is one piece I believe, I have the 5' bed.
