Default Rear ends

Is there a rear end that has a locker in it or a LSD? I wanna switch mine but idk if ford makes one without doin a straight axle swap

The rear end is a straight axle.

Sure there is. People do it all the time. Not sure of cost though.

Idk about cost ill b doin it myself my friends got a rear end outta his thunder bird but I don't think that'll work very well I was wondering if the lighting rear end is LSD or has a locker in it?

You didn't mention the year but I'm sure the factory did make a limited slip rear. You just need to find one and bolt it in.

I have a 94 xlt ill just have to do a lot of research the rear end my friend has is out of a 88 thunderbird

My last truck, an XLT regular cab 2 wheel drive had one. Had 3.73 gears in it with the heavy duty 9-3/4" ring gear. It was a 2004 model. My current '08 has the 8.8 ring gear with an open carrier. I don't recall what the axle code was on the '04, but it should be easy to find on the internet.

If it makes any difference at all, I had a 95 that had LS front and back that came that way from the factory.
