2012 F150 2WD to 4WD conversion
I have a 2012 Supercrew F150 XLT. It is a two wheel drive truck and I am looking to possibly converting it to a four wheel drive. What parts would I need to accomplish this and what would the price range be. I am not looking to sell my current F150 to buy a 4X4. Thanks.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that any conversion costs will quickly outstrip the cost of depreciation and the cost of buying a replacement truck. Not to mention the indirect cost of creating a low value vehicle, the loss of warranty, and the increased headaches of owning a one off.

The depreciation comment was in reference that he's better off eating that and selling his vehicle to buy what he wants, rather than hacking up a new truck with and destroying the resale value...

So far no one can even give a list of parts, let alone point to a shop that has done one. So unless it's done with only OEM parts and there's hundreds on the road, its basically a one off. As well, its typically hard to buy parts over the counter and pay for shop labor and come out cheaper than just buying the same thing as it comes out of the factory line. Quigley and Sportsmobile do 4wd retrofits on E150s, and that is anything but cheap.
