Default 2000 odometer

I have a 2000 f150 lariet 4x4 with a 5.4, the digitial odometer lights up on start but three quarters of the time it has no display. It tracks miles but only displays now and again.

does anyone have a quick fix for this problem?

Thanks,
Teach

Its a poor electrical connection on the wire that goes into the display. What you need to do is get a soldering pencil and clean up the contacts. That will give it a much better connection and the display wont come on and off all the time.

Thanks for the tip. How hard is it to get to the odometer to re soder. Any advice would be appriciated. Do I have to pull the whole dash?

Thanks,

Teach
