well me and my buddy tackled all of it... the egr coolers are easy just time consuming(5 hours) still worth it(cost $150-$180 for block off plates) and you can keep stock exhaust and un bolt the dpf/cat and get delete pipes for $150 or so, but if ya got the money get atleast 4 inch. my exhaust i had maybe $125 cuz it ended under the cab(custom)

I've heard of the dpf before... Diesel particulate filters right? But the egr coolers... What are they?

Traded my 2007 F250 Super crew lariat Fx4 with the 6.0 and only 56,000 on it on January 2012 for a 2011 F150 Fx2 Super crew with 5.0 and got to say it was the best move I could have done for my situation. My F250 was giving me problems all ready. Fuel mileage was awful, 12.3 city. The maintenance cost and fuel cost was killing me. Plan on spending lots of money when it comes time to work on it. Just an oil change alone cost over $100 doing it yourself. Bad wheel bounce at 55mph our so. Ford is aware of it and have sent a letter out to solve that problem, which states to maintain correct tire pressure which don't help it any. God luck on what ever you decide to do.

Traded my 7.3 or an 11 6.7, biggest mistake I ever made. With dpf, urea, and egr crap, truck would get 14 empty on the hiway and 12 in town. Towing would get around 10-11. It was in the shop 3 out of the 6 months I owned it. I bought the eco and it saves me a ton on upkeep.
