Default Thinking of trading in my 150 for a 250 or 350

Hey guys I'm thinking of trading in my 08 f 150 screw for an 08 f250 or 350 screw diesel. Are the 6.4's a good motor? I know the 6.0 had problems. What can I expect for real world Mileage? Thanks!

6.4 is like the luck of the draw, if you get a good one it will run strong if you get a bad one you will have problems, short blocks, fuel pumps, heads, injectors, FE sucks unless you do a DPF and EGR Delete but it will void your warranty, if you want it as a DD i would not do Diesel's are hassle to maintain JMHO

The truck would be my DD. I am looking to trade up to a bigger truck because even. With the 5.4 and some mods done to it with 34 inch tires my truck is a dog. Then I hook up my boat and it's even worse! I'm also tired of only being able to fill the box up halfway with wood before the truck squats too much. Also looking for a diesel for better milage as my 5.4 is terrible and diesels haveso much more power

I love that 6.4 you had too lol! So if I were to buy a bone stock 6.4 what should I take care of right away to ensure the life of the motor

No prob man that truck is a beast! How costly and whats involved with removing the dpf and egr coolers? I'm new to this diesel thing!
