Cummins Vs. Powerstroke
#11
Agreed. Cummins is where its at, but the rest of the truck is royal crap. A ford super duty with a cummins or cat and allison transmission and it would be an unstoppable machine. Ford has the worst diesel imo, but the rest of the truck is better than everyone elses.

Maybe newer Ford diesels are horrible, but hard to kill that 7.3. Would say that Duramax is the worst in my opinion. Nobody I know owns one, and I have never heard anything good about them.

Powerstroke all the way I could be a little biased though since my daily driver is a Black 2002 F350 XLT 4x4 Crew Cab 7.3L (build date 11-01) - Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 325/65/R18 mounted on KMC XD Monster 18x9 Wheels, 4 inch ProComp Lift w/ dual front shocks, Ranch Hand-Full replacement front/rear bumpers and headache rack, Autometer Triple guage pillar pod with Autometer Sport Comp Pyro and boost gages, Autometer Ultra lite digital Trans temp gage, DP Tuner (60hp econo, 60hp tow, 100 hp performance) w/ in dash mounted ex switcher, AIS, Bosch Alternator, Viper 3000 alarm, NFab Nerf bars

Cool. A construction worker at our church, has a 88 pre-turbo 7.3. He pulled and hauled stuff constantly. He put almost 400k before the engine gave out. He had a new one put in. My brother has an 01 with the 7.3. Truck has gave him some problems, but he beats it pretty badly. The worst thing was the chip burnt his computer and some sensors out, but he has around 170k I think.
