Default Carfax on 2008 dually

Anything I should be aware of with this truck??? Going to be used as a work truck towing loads between El Paso Texas and Phoenix Arizone...

Looks like a good deal to me! Nice price too. First thing I would do for sure is DPF delete and tune.

As long as the truck works like its supposed to it is lol. I looked at that tuner. I think we will probably lean towards an edge milage max or a bully dog or something along that line. Not racing the thing...just towing :-)

Well, I don't mean necessarily focus on tuning but I was pointing that out to delete the DPF and eliminate the regen process. There is nothing about the regen that is good for the engine. Causes the seals in the turbos to fail way sooner than they should. And it wastes fuel. During regen, on the exhaust stroke, fuel is dumped into #7 and #8 cylinders, through the turbos, and finally through the exhaust to the DPF. Extreme heat! Engine longevity and efficiency will skyrocket if that process is eliminated. Let the engine breathe! The more towing you do, the more carbon, the more regen. If you do a regen often you should change the oil every 3000-4000 miles.
