Default 1985 F150 Rear U-Joint Help

Hey all! I am brand new to the forum, and the proud new owner of a1985 4.9L i6 F150!

I had both the front and the rear u-joints replaced and I noticed that there were some differences in the rear compared to the front.

The front 4 all have the spring claps on the ends to hold the bearing caps in, but the rear, only two have them and the other two seem to either have fallen out, which I don't suspect, or these are ones that don't require the spring clamps. I just need clarification if they were not installed correctly and the clamps fell out, or they don't actually need the clamps. I am attaching the photos of the rear where the drive shaft connects to the axel for a reference and to see what I am referring to.

Thanks!

That is perfectly normal. There isn't supposed to be a clip there because that small tab prevents the cap from falling out during driving.

I just replaced the U-Joints on my '86 with the 300 i6 and that's exactly how it should be, mine is the same way.
