Anybody have a procedure on replacing a master cylinder in a 1983 F150 6cyl 2wd? I am still searching but no luck as of yet. TIA -Matt

Its a pretty straight forward procedure. Some things to keep in mind. Use a real good quality line wrench to loosen the brake lines from master. Make sure the master cylinder is the correct one, can be differences. Bleed all air out of cylinder while on the bench (bench bleeding kits are not that expensive). Unbold old and install new. Manual brakes are a little harder as rod goes through firewall and connects to pedal. While installing new, attach lines loosely and let it drip brake fluid while securing nuts, tighten lines and test.

New master cylinders usually come with bench bleeding kits. They also come with instructions on how to change them out.

WOW! Didn't know, or mean to step on your toes. Just changed out two cylinders, must be my old age, neither one had bleeding fittings to do the job. OH WELL, retirement is only 8 months and to many days to count!

I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything, just adding to what you already said. Every master cylinder that I have purchased had the bleeder kit, but the oldest one I have bought recently was an '87, my truck.
