Front shock replacement for 2010 F150
Was at the dealer yesterday for an oil change and was told I have a leaking front shock on my 2010 F150 4x2. Dealer quoted a new pair installed for $750.
I'm thinking they're nuts. Or am I? They said this was very labor intensive, but this price seems crazy.
I'm in Phoenix and looking for recommendations on a good shop to get a new set of shocks installed.
Thanks
EDIT: Just got off the phone with a shop and they said I need the whole "strut assembly" and quoted me $630. Something doesn't sound right here.

do the install yourself and you could throw on some fox 2.5 coil overs for the price you're getting charged… ahaha
sadly that price isn't too far off though since shop labor at ford is so expensive.
call some place like 4wheel parts and get a quote for some bilstien 5100's installed. Mine were only 400 installed and out the door and they're a big improvement over the OEM! otherwise just do it yourself, theres a ton of how to's on here!

damn… yeah I went during a big sale they were having...
Id say just install them yourself and then all you have to pay for is an alignment and the shocks themselves

Had new Bilstein 5100s put on all the way around yesterday. Feels like I'm in a different truck. BIG difference. It is now level too. Money well spent.

Did you get this done at the 4wparts on 7th st by the I17?
Any issues with the spring perch on the shocks? I remember reading that people had issues with bilsteins replacing the stockers a few years ago...

I went to the 4wheel parts in Mesa on Country Club. I had to purchase some type of spring cam for the alignment. The mechanic said these are needed on some trucks, but not others.
