Members won't be able to help you without knowing what year, model, etc.

your blower motor is about 2-3'' above where the carpets/ floormats end if you sit in the passenger seat put your right foot against the right pillar... your toes will be pointing @ the bottom of the blower....which sits horizontally, right in the bottom of the heater box...it is attached by 3 8mm screws which stick straight down...open the glove box...push in both sides of this box & it will come out of the dash & hang there....you will need a flash-lite to see up there....remove the electrical connection then remove the 3 8mm screws.....the one against the firewall I found to be extremely hard to remove...do it first.....when all screws are out it should drop straight down however you may have to pull the carpet back to give you more room.. Assembly is the reverse of above & don't over tighten the screws you are only going into plastic & can strip the threads very easily!!!!! That 1 screw can be VERY frustrating...I used 1/4 drive rachet

If you have an extended warranty it will be covered, mine went out at 59k and they replaced it under warranty.

So my 08 Lariat is having the same issue, just started in August when AC began having blower issues at the start of vacation (fortunately we were traveling to cooler climes). I ordered a new resistor online and installed at the campground but then the blower motor failed so I replaced that too. Everything was great for a week then we got to the 'nothing but High Fan or turn it off stage', Pulled out and returned the first resistor and ordered and install the second from RockAuto. It worked great for two weeks and now we're back to High Fan or Off again. I am beginning to suspect it was a connector wire even though the connection on the resistor seems snug. Guess that it may not be as snug as I thought...
