Default 97 f150 4.2l heater problems

Hello
I have 97 ford f150 and im having trouble gettin the heater to work but when im drivin and hit bump the heater with kick on and no a/c then a few min later the a/c kicks back on im assuming a lose wire but dont know where to look? I have changed the the switch on back ofthe a/c and hearter switch and im not over heating nor have any leaks , winter soon to hit and i need heat and help would help im at a lose here

It is most likely the motor that operates the "Blendoor" that is below the heater box.It operates in a normally open position which is A/C. Either the door post is cracked or the motor has a short in it. Go to YouTube and look up Blendoor" for your truck on how to R&R the motor or door. Also check your vacuum lines at the fire wall. They are 1/4 colored hoses that operate the rest of the system.
