2012 5.0 whistle noise under acceleration
Hello everyone . I purchased a used 2012 f150 stx super cab with the 5.0 liter in it earlier this week . Yesterday afternoon on my way to work i noticed a high pitched whistle under the hood while under mild acceleration . The whistle does not happen all the time and it seems to quiet down during shifts . And it does not change with engine rpm . The truck only has 25,000 miles. Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions on what could possibly cause this noise would be greatly appreciated

Ok guys I took my truck to Westherr ford Thursday and they ended up replacing the pcv valve on the passenger side valve cover due to the base of it being cracked . My whistling noise is definitely quieter but it seems like a have a slight whistle coming from my left front wheel. Is it possible that I have a bad 4wd actuator or a vacuum leak at the hub?

any chance that there is a k&n air filter installed in there just the drop in filter not the CAI. I have just the filter and it whistles on acceleration and coasting as well.

Nope I just checked everything and it is 100 percent stock , I did happen to find a couple aluminum shavings in my coolant which leads me to believe the water pump is going . I have heard that this is a common problem too . Especially on the mustangs . Maybe this is where the noise is coming from .
