http://easyautodiagnostics.com/ford_...d_module_1.php I only found this after seems forever went by. I did help me since Chilton says I have a ignition module mounted on the distributor not on the firewall. That book has mislead me quit a few times now

I'd be willing to bet those plugs are washed out from fuel. Replace them and don't use Autolite, I can't count how many times I had no starts in my shop because of those damned plugs, get Motorcraft plugs.

Motorcraft is what I have of course. I found a wire I had looked at over 30 times this weekend to be broke. the one that supplys power to the coil. still looked good but doing another no spark test made me notice it. soldered together and was able to start truck, get it up to temp and attached code reader KOEO test which gave me a 522 which is not in nuetral during test. I will have to figure that one out, but at least its started.

well I got it up and running I found that the disturbator broke the little shear pin and was turned 45degrees put new one in and started first try thanks all for your help
