If I had the cash, there is no way i would hesitate to buy a rover over a freaking ford any day of the week, even for the price premium. They can tow a boat, and is way way more off road capable than an f150, and is much, MUCH more luxurious and refined than an f150. no cheap plastics, etc. Not even remotely an apples to apples comparison though..
Carry on complaining about payload 90 percent of us won't use lol

Went last night and drove a 2.7L XLT SuperCrew 2x4 and a 3.5 EB King Ranch SuperCrew 4x4. I asked the ford employee what the payload and tow rating for the truck I ordered would be (loaded lariat supercrew, 3.5 L EB and 3.55 rear end) he said the payload would be over 3k lbs and tow rating would be 12.2k lbs. I asked if he was sure, he confirmed. He also said the 3.5 EB should see an increase of 3-4 mpg over the current truck, the 2.7L is seeing 28-32 mph on the highway, and that official mpg numbers should be out in under 2 weeks. Loved both trucks, the 2.7L has plenty of power, nothing lacking in regular driving. The 3.5L was even better. One feature on the king ranch that I haven't seemed mentioned (all trucks with the LED headlights) is the auto dimming headlights. They worked great, automatically going back and forth from low to high beam depending on lighting and oncoming traffic.

you do though actually.... They all have their problems, including ford.

Yes just the base mirrors not the tow ones. THey look like the are about the same height but not as wide. Could just be the pics.

Which seems odd to me since my 2013 502a max tow Lariat has payload sticker over 1,600 lbs. So for a vehicle that dropped ~700 lbs of body weight where did the other lbs go?
After excluding max tow I'm still missing ~ 300 lbs of payload with your estimate...
7,650 (gvwr) - 6,060 (my truck loaded with me in it) - 500 (remove max tow) + 700 (body weight savings) = 1,790 lbs
After excluding max tow I'm still missing ~ 300 lbs of payload with your estimate...

Do not put any stock into anything these event reps are quoting. They are just as clueless and know just as little about their product as the salesmen do. 28-32 mpg, gimme a break. And 1500 lb payload per wheel? Lol where do they find these guys?

Since I'm planning on a '16 short-box SuperCrew in a posh trim level to replace my '07, bigger payload is better but a 3000+ lb payload on that config is only slightly more likely than my winning the lottery between now and then.

If anyone thinks that a RR is a superior vehicle, they need to see what J.D. Power says about the quality of a RR that STARTS at $83,000. Yikes!!

Two star quality at a 5 star price. Such a deal, I'll buy 2. Not!
