Since I went to the PDX drive event just to kick tires and inspect the vehicle's fit, finish, and materials, perhaps you can use my none-driving experience in exchange for Ford bring an event to your city.

Yep, I got the same. After driving the 2.7 & 3.5 Ecoboosts, I'm glad I have the 5.0. The 2.7 felt pretty good for a 6, but definitely sounded like a 6! 2.7 was an XLT, 3.5 was a king ranch. The 3.5 sounded better, thanks to the sound/stereo program, but still didn't have the power of my 13 5.0. The King Ranch interior was really nice. It pulled the trailer to the event, so I'm sure it is broken in. Forgot to check the mileage. My truck only has 10K on it. Both testers were crew cab 4X4's. I don't think I'd want to tow over 3K# in the 2.7, as I think it would always be under boost. The 2.7 was averaging 18.4 on the test drives. No 5.0 trucks at the event. In all fairness, mine is a 2WD RCSB, and 100% stock. All weigh about the same. The 15's have a lot of nice features. I think I'll hold out for the 10 speed trans with the 5.0. I think by that time, the trucks should be pretty bug free.

How was the performance of the 3.5 ? Did you experience any turbo lag and the did the 3.5 have allot more performance to the 2.7?

See if you can get a good shot of the wood trim in the King Ranch, if you don't mind.

Oser51 said in a previous post that the they're going to hold the first 20,000 trucks. By that, pretty much everyone on this forum who has a VIN (think the highest sequence is about 15000) is going to get their truck fairly close to the same time. The early VIN's (like mine) are just going to sit longer in a lot.

Glad you received info on your truck Aquapools!
