Also how much less mpgs will I get everyday on the 2.7 with 3.73 vs 3.33 gears?
I have the payload package, yellow payload sticker is 1673 Lbs. I do not have the FX4 package. I think the biggest difference is the rear axle, 8.8" without, 9.75" with payload. The 3.73 rear end with the 2.7L ecoboost are a great combination, awesome low end torque and midrange power. I'm averaging 12.6L/100k (almost 19mpg) 90% city driving, and thats using sport mode almost 100% of the time, not drag racing every stop light and not driving like a grandpa either.

Typical tongue weight is 10% of trailer weight. For a 6,500 lb trailer that is 650 lb plus you will need a weight distributing hitch - 100 lb. Adding passenger weight of lets say 800 lb to the 650 and 100 and subtracting that from a 1,600 lb payload gives 50 lb left over.

So if those numbers are close to accurate, I would buy the HD payload package.
Your yellow payload sticker says 2200? Most HD payloads I have seen are 1600-1700.

The payload package brings the super cab models up to approximately what you get with the base super crew models for payload.

The HD payload package is a whole level higher, for super crews, and was actually not produced last year even though it was promised, or, barely produced. Several forum members had their orders cancelled by Ford after waiting almost a year for one.
