I ended up with a Lariat - MSRP of 47 - paid 37 for it... had everything i wanted.. leather, bucket seats, Nav, rear sliding window, keyless start etc...

Only thing i HATED was on a Lariat 2.7L - you cannot get 20" wheels??? but you can get them with a 2.7 XLT? Makes no sense...

Just ended up buying a set off craigslist for 1000 dollars.... sold my old 18's for 700... so 300 bucks got the chrome 20's...

Don't get some of their packaging... any Lariat should absolutely have the option for 20" wheels... at first i thought it was that they wouldn't put on the 2.7 motor - but then found XLT's with 20's that were 2.7L...

Bottom line - ended up paying for a lariat what many pay for an XLT.. happy with the purchase..

Absolutely! I have no idea why Ford would not allow you to get the luxury package in a 2.7 Lariat.

They do allow a 2.7L and the 502A in the 2016

I'll be ordering 1 this week.
And hopefully not returning it unless it shows up with malfunctioning seat coolers

If I'm not mistaken, that limitation has been removed for 2016. The 2.7 should be available with 502A now.

Yes, ford announced that when the 2016 went into production. Their last update for that combo was "late availability". I guess Ford never thought that the 2.7 eco would be as popular as it has become. Who would have thought…

As CAFE standards get more and more difficult to meet in the next few years, we will see the 2.7 made available on all trim levels, I'd bet. The limited availability at first is probably due more to supply constraints than anything else.

The dealer showed me Lariats. But a base Lariat was almost as much as the XLT I priced out, but didn't have things the XLT had.

Things XLT had that the Lariat didn't:
-Twin Panel Moonroof
-2.7 Payload package
-Trailer controller
-Navigation
-Spray in bed liner
-Tailgate step
-FX4 package

Now had I taken the Lariat and added all those options, I would be paying over 4K more just to have keyless and dual climate control. No thank you. My XLT has everything I wanted and more.

Good deal; I'm glad you like your truck! I hear those Canadian F150 prices are crazy compared to the US prices. I bet I paid less for my Lariat than your XLT. Some of the friends from the great white north have been listing prices in the 50k range for an XLT! That's crazy to pay that much for a truck, let alone forego leather, dual climate control, HVAC seats, additional interior trim upgrades, etc...

Yeah, we can import from the states, but it's a huge hassle, and you have to pay import fees and taxes, so sometimes the prices are so close it's not worth the trouble. My XLT was listed at 56k, but lots of options I wanted, but I got over 11k off so not too bad. Prices may seem higher here but so are salaries. So when you see the price of my truck but then realize that my wife and I together make over $150k/year, it's not actually that bad.
