I told him about chevys vibrations thats a very prevelant problem in their trucks. What are some of the major issues each of the brands have? Can you guys list some as i dont know alot about the other brands? specifically the american companies! thanks!

Your Ford list is affecting .1% of these trucks. Further, all sun roofs leak. If you had a vehicle that didn't it means you didn't (or haven't) had it long enough for it to leak.

tundra: butt ugly

nissan: uglier than sin

honda: Not real trucks (and ugly).

Are you just talking about Fords, or all cars? I have a 15 year old honda civic with a sunroof that has never leaked.

chevy: IMHO, their interior is the worst on the market. Variable displacement causes issues. The motors seem to have a lot of issues around the 100k mark.

dodge: Worst rated reliability, and slow for what the motor is rated at. Plus dealing with Chrysler service.

tundra: Terrible fuel economy and high price.

nissan: Terrible resale, and weak drivetrain. Can't speak to the brand new generation.

honda: Not a truck. I don't even consider the Ridgeline in this group.

I'm pretty sure these issues are affecting more than 1 out of 1,000 F150s. I can also add to the list; all of these are from first-hand experience with my own truck: transfer case grinding noise, steering issues, clunking/play in the driveline, poor shift strategy causing lugging/vibration, vibration in the gas pedal, warped dashboard, steering pull/wander, cowl and window weather stripping coming off.... this is all within 10 months and 12,000 miles.

I used to be right there with you guys saying that Ford was the most reliable out of the group but my opinion has changed. Just trying to shine some light from the other side of the aisle. Take it for what it's worth. The issues that I listed above are not isolated occurences. There are numerous threads on each issue. If I had to buy again, I would research other brands much more carefully.

I've never had a sunroof leak in 40 years and I've owned more than I can count. That includes my current F-150 (2015) I've owned for 16 months. Always considered myself one of the lucky ones.

And you'd end up right back with the Ford.

I've had my F-150 for 18 months now and have 52k on the clock. My moonroof doesn't leak, creak, nothing. I also had a 1991 VW Passat with a moonroof which I sold in 2010. 19 years old and it didn't leak either.

I think your theory is very wrong and I wonder where you get this from, other than the fact that maybe you were unlucky enough to have a leaking moonroof. You can't just say "all sunroofs leak"...
