What how did you show them?

I got the idea of adding sway bar locks to the bar under the seat from the Ford ST forums where people were having the same issue. This is a 100% fix for about $30 and 5-10 minutes of install time.

Of course, replacing the seat track under warranty is free, but I'd rather not have to bring in my truck to the dealer for something that can be solved for just a few bucks and doesn't involve taking things apart.

Here is what I ordered:

I could grab the seat and shake it side to side to show how it is moving.

An update ... Since taking the truck in and getting the seat fixed, it has not moved, except back and forth like it's supposed to. Problem solved.

I'm taking mine in for this issue next week. Hopefully the fix is just as simple...

Good luck. I hope your dealer is better than mine. Mullinax Ford in Apopka, FL could replicate the issue, but couldn't determine exactly what was causing the issue - so they refused to replace the mount and sent me on my way. I didn't have the patience to fight about it knowing there's the sway bar mount fix above. I'll have to do the same thing.

I pick my truck up tomorrow and this was one of the issues I was having them look at. Will be interesting to see what they did to fix it.

Glad that I found this post, as mine has been doing this since I got it almost 5 months ago. It only does it when going around a corner and I can shake the seat as well.

When I took mine in they said the other trucks on the lot do the same thing so it’s in spec. I mentioned that the passenger side doesn’t do that and was told well that’s a different seat.

I am able to rock the bottom cushion back and forth and the seat moves and make a knocking noise. The service guy was able to do it as well.

After an initial demonstration and discussion about the issue, I was told “it’s a truck, some stuff like that is to be expected.” But they promised to do a ride-a-long with me today to try to hear it again.
