My new one is supposed to be here Friday according to COTUS, I'm planning on putting 33" tires on it if my dealer can adjust the speedo. I don't want to tune it until the warranty is over. I am getting black sport 4x4 screw with 3.55 gears and 2.7l.
On the focus statement I've put 17k on mine average 29, the 2.7 I borrowed over night got over 19 doing the same commute as the focus, hoping for good result on the 2.7

I drive like a teenager in town...30 years of driving emergency vehicles & your not exactly granny......love the sport mode
Run 85 octane on the above trip, heck only once have I put 87 in and that was when the station did not have 85....and all the gas except the 87 has been 10% Ethanol.
Live at a little over 6k feet ASL, the above MPG was around 4600 feet ASL....

Rampy - You have a well-equipped 4x4 and are using 85 octane, yet you still managed to show an 800+ mile tanks which is the highest I have seen on the forums. That is awesome.

Picked up my new truck Thursday, I put on just shy of 380 miles over the weekend and decided to fill it up to get ready for the week. Hand calculated I got 18.8, the computer said 19.4. I had 3 days where I used the auto start for 5 min, plus I dont know how full the dealer filled it so even though the gauge said full when I bought it. Still Im happy with it. Even in the best of cases with my 5.0 I got 17.5 -18 and that was flat highway no wind.
18.8 commuting in traffic and driving around dc and Annapolis all weekend is phenomenal. My focus generally got 27-28 same condition , weighs about 1/2 as much and can't tow crap. I added myself to fuelly.
Stats are Lariat sport 4x4 SCREW, 2.7l with 3.55.

Yeah I'm hoping it will too. The highway driving right now is not using cruise since I'm trying to keep my speed varying until I get to 1,000 miles. After that I will use cruise and see how it does.
With the starter on the 2.7 im not too worried. It's pretty easy to stop and not engage the auto shut off. If you're going to be in heavy traffic or a lot of short lights I'm thinking most people will turn off the feature. I for one will not let it shut off at short lights but if I know I'll be a minute or two I'll let it go off. Also starters are pretty good lately, ford as well as many other companies have had them in hybrids for a long while where there shut down at lights, pretty sure they did their homework and tested the crap out it.

Per the linked article, "the start/stop function was validated with more than 900 hours of tests, simulating 240,000 start/stop cycles."
